Responsibilities and Accomplishments

Over a 10 year period, I was responsible for building and managing the site design and dev teams. During that time, we rebranded 3 times, switched to a mobile first design methodology, implemented its first site design system, and applied an iterative design thinking approach, which included re-architecture, deployment, backup, and version control tools.

Site Architecture & Development

The environment included API, Database, App, Production, and Sandbox (test) servers. We created load balanced, redundant servers and were able to provide 99.999% up-time to more than 1 million unique users per month.

Information Architecture and Wireframes

I led the information architecture and wireframe process. We worked with the team to identify stakeholder goals, operational realities, and content possibilities. We established the following priorities, features, and content.

  • Campaign spaces for hard-to-fill positions
  • Topical segmented campaigns – Military, College/University, Summer Staffing
  • Major function career segmenting – retail, corporate, supply chain, merchandising
  • Social Media and fun facts – Celebrating company culture and accomplishments
  • Video content highlighting associate’s stories of passion and pride in Home Depot

Our Stories - Video Series

I Directed, wrote, produced, conducted the interviews, managed a small team of shooters, edited, colored, soundtracked and completed the motion graphics. The shoots took place in 5 states over 3 months. "Our Stories" a campaign celebrating the people behind the orange apron that have an influence and impact on people every day.
